So it's been over two months since I blogged! I have actually been getting dressed, I just haven't felt that cute I guess, so I haven't been taking pictures. I went to clean out my camera today and found a few odds and ends, so here you go.  I don't know if it's about turning 40 or what I've just been feeling very MEH about it all. Now that the weather is turning colder, a different part of my wardrobe should be getting some love, so maybe I'll feel more inspired.

I guess it was a Gap kind of week. I actually worked there for a couple years in college. When I started shopping at Anthro about 6 years ago, I went full-bore for a while, to the point where I didn't want to wear much of anything else. Then I realized it was necessary to have some basics to balance out the ruffles, wackadoo prints, and more challenging silhouettes. Gap has made its way back into my life and probably holds the #2 spot in my closet. Definitely in the wind-down mode now. Weather has been relatively pleasant, but with some rain thrown in. But.. summer is coming!

So the title is a double reference. #1 we're in the 40ish day mark towards the end of school, which is always a reflective time (and also a time that I seriously try to curb my shopping/shop my closet.) Second, I turn 40 later this year. I still have several months to squeeze out of my 30s, but I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be, and dress like, a grown-up. I'm don't have the answer to that. I'm obviously not ready for matched sets from Chicos, but I also wonder if I'm too old for some of my whimsical pieces. Anyhow, both summer and that big b-day will be here before I know it. I'm just trying to squeeze as much out of this year as I can.
