Blending In

-
Anthro-
Marya Dress
Brass Tab Boots (Boot?)

From a distance, the stupid walking boot actually blended in with my other boot. It is so incredibly cold but so far, too dry for snow. We may get some this weekend but it isn't expected to stick. In other words, it isn't going to do me any good by giving us a snow day!

I squeezed in one more day of bare legs before a 40 degree temperature drop. Yikes! Bring on the winter wear.

Best Foot Forward

Anthro-
Whitecap Tunic
Momentary Flutter Necklace
AG Stevie Moto Crops

Shoeland mocassins
Gap shirt

How many stupid foot and shoe sayings can I come up with before this whole kerfuffle is over?  We shall see. Next week is supposed to get COLD so the beast (recovery boot) may actually blend in a little better. I'm not looking forward to a 30 degree drop in temperatures, but I am looking forward to tights and sweaters. Stay frosty!

Okay, there is no blue shoe anywhere in this post. But I did manage to get my feet in two real boots on Monday. I didn't last the whole day, but it is progress. On the shoe topic, I am continuing to be incredibly impressed with my purchases from Shoeland. No problem with wearing them (it? I guess) the whole day even when I was on my feet and all day.

Decades

 Anthro-
Garden Lace Dress **
Willemstad Necklace

Target bootie

**Super proud of myself here. Originally bought at full price, returned, and waited for THREE MONTHS until it finally went on sale. The extra 25% off sale was a bonus!

Anthro-
Pilcro Stet Ankle Zip Cords
Wound Barra Boot

Olivia Moon top via Nordstrom
Roberta Chiarella Necklace
Target belt

Look #1 reminds me vaguely of what I'd sport in 1992, except the dress would be longer, the boots would be Doc Martens and I'd have a flannel shirt tied around my waist. Look #2 has a definite Flower Child vibe going on. Still sporting the one-shoe look while my foot heals.

Why yes, I am only wearing one shoe in these pictures. I have a broken foot that currently has to be cased in a disgusting walking boot when I'm out of the house. I'm dressing around it as best I can, but it is not pretty. Finding a shoe to balance it out on the other foot has been a challenge. I have to say that Shoeland has been a pleasant surprise for me, considering they only use synthetic materials. I now have three pairs from them and they are dirt cheap, comfy, and pretty cute. Someday I may be able to wear cute wedges again, but today is not that day.

I am currently sitting with a split on my foot because I decided it would be a super swell idea to hop about like a maniac to House of Pain's "Jump Around" at the 7th grade dance. Fortunately I got a few pics this week pre- moronic injury. I will do my best to dress around my damn foot, shades of my surgery 4 years ago. I may or may not document any of these attempts.
