The weather is letting us know spring is coming but is still shifting to some wintry days. I find this one of the harder times of year to get dressed. I want to be all pastels and sandals, but the weather and my white legs aren't quite there. We're heading out to California next week and by the time we get back, spring will have officially sprung. Hopefully some nice weather will show up before the tornadoes start.

Sometimes I'll get in a routine where I wear similar pieces together. This week apparently it is skinny pants/boots/cardis. It was supposed to be like, Blizzard of the Century 2013 the past couple of days and it SO was not. I got totally cheated out of snow days. It was still pretty rainy/soggy though, hence the boot-tuck. I'm still feeling pretty pantsish, but maybe I'll break up the pattern tomorrow.

Well it happened. I bought a totally plain, unadorned, black pencil skirt. It was marked down to $12 at the Gap outlet and they were having an additional 30% off clearance or something crazy like that. I also got two cardis- one ended up being $4 and one like $6. Nuts! Anyhow I've been feeling too old for some of my wackadoo stuff lately so I'm trying to bring in some more basics to to temper the madness.
